Bhoomiyude Avakashikal is beyond geographical barriers. : T V Chandran


‘Bhoomiyude Avakashikal’ which is being screened at the 17th IFFK is beyond geographical barriers, said director T V Chandran in ‘meet the director’ session at Sree theatre today (10 12 2012). He also said that he was not satisfied with shooting in digital cinema. He had to shoot digitally only because of financial constraints and added that digital film making creates a lot of problems.
The director of ‘Ithramathram’, K Gopinath said that he had created a new version of Kalpatta Narayanan’s novel and didn’t try to keep strictly to the book, though he still kept the basic idea. The response from the audience after the film’s release was an indication that he was victorious in presenting his point, he said.
Chayilllyam’ was made on contributions from film lovers , said Manoj Kana its director. He also hoped that he could attempt more such ventures. Fransisca Silva described her film, ‘Ivan’s Woman’ as taken from real life, as the film is based on a real incident that happened in Vienna. The film was made as a project that was a part of her film studies.  She said that the Chile film industry produces only a meager number of films in the range of 30 to 40.
